The Setting

The Faith County Fairgrounds in Mineola, a town that is located "somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the South" -- a place where Beehive hairdos are still the rage and Saturday nights are reserved for the tractor pull in nearby Pickler. Time appears to have stood still in Mineola.

The Faith County Theme Song
Faye McFaye
1.

It's a back-water burg,
A one-horse town,
As boring as can be.
Out here somewhere in the middle of nowhere,
Smack dab in Faith County.

You can have your hair done,
Or your Beehive spun,
At the beautiful Bee-Luv-Lee.
Or go down to the diner where you'll never find a finer,
Cup of Violet Farkle's coffee.

Well, Mildred, Harry, Bubba and Lucy, Luther, Delbert,
And Ruthann and Naomi,
With Lottie and Gladys, Bud, Violet and Faye all live,
In Faith County.

2. Mineola is a place where everyone knows your face,
So it's very simple to see.
There's nothing to do and everyone is dull,
Who lives in Faith County.

So pull up a chair and let down your hair,
Get ready to slap your knee.
'Cause we're gonna have a ball with usin's and y'all,
And the folks in Faith County.
Chorus: Faith County, the county place to be!
Faith County, it's home sweet home to me!
